Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain process control strategies and systems (DCS, PLC, SCADA).

This role is vital for designing, implementing, and maintaining advanced control systems to optimize chemical processes, improve efficiency, and enhance safety. You will work on projects ranging from basic loop tuning to advanced process control (APC) strategies, collaborating closely with plant engineers and operators. This position involves a hybrid work arrangement, combining on-site responsibilities at our Stellenbosch facility with remote work flexibility. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in chemical engineering principles combined with expertise in control system hardware and software, instrumentation, and data analysis.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain process control strategies and systems (DCS, PLC, SCADA).
• Develop and tune control loops to ensure stable and efficient process operation.
• Implement Advanced Process Control (APC) solutions such as Model Predictive Control (MPC).
• Troubleshoot control system issues and perform root cause analysis.
