Placements24 seeks a certified Welder specializing in fabrication and installation to join our Upington-based team. You will read blueprints, perform MIG, TIG, and Stick welding on various metals, and install components on-site with precision.

The role emphasizes safety, quality, and adherence to project specs in demanding industrial environments. You will gain hands-on experience on significant infrastructure projects in the Northern Cape.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG, TIG, and Stick welding on a range of metals and thicknesses.

• Conduct pre-weld inspections and ensure material readiness for welding.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and project requirements.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a certified and experienced Welder specializing in Fabrication & Installation to join their structural team in Upington. This role is essential for constructing, assembling, and installing metal structures and components according to precise specifications. You will be responsible for executing high-quality welding operations using various techniques and materials, ensuring the integrity and safety of fabricated structures. The ideal candidate is highly skilled in welding, possesses a strong understanding of metal properties and fabrication processes, and is committed to adhering to rigorous safety standards. This position offers a hands-on career in a demanding industrial environment, contributing to critical construction and installation projects in the Northern Cape region.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform various welding tasks, including MIG, TIG, and Stick welding , on a range of metal types and thicknesses.
• Fabricate metal components and structures according to blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications.
• Install fabricated metal parts and structures on-site, ensuring secure and accurate fitting.
• Conduct pre-weld inspections of materials and components to ensure readiness and quality.
• Ensure all welding and installation work complies with industry standards, safety regulations, and project requirements.
• Maintain welding equipment and tools in good working condition, ensuring operational readiness.

Requirements

• Certified Welder with proven experience in fabrication and installation roles.
