Placements24 is seeking a skilled Welder to join a fabrication and repair team in Benoni. The role focuses on constructing, maintaining, and repairing metal structures for industrial applications, using MIG, TIG, and Stick welding with attention to detail and safety.

The ideal candidate is certified, experienced in reading drawings and welding symbols, and able to work with carbon steel and stainless steel in a workshop setting in Gauteng.

Qualifications

• Certified Welder with proven experience in industrial fabrication and repair.
• Able to read welding symbols, blueprints, and technical specifications.
• Experience with carbon steel and stainless steel welding and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding tasks using MIG, TIG, and Stick welding on steel and stainless steel.
• Fabricate metal components and structures according to drawings and specifications.
• Repair damaged metal parts and equipment, ensuring structural soundness.
• Inspect welds for quality and adherence to standards.
• Prepare metal surfaces for welding by cleaning, grinding, and cutting.
• Operate grinders, cutters, and drills.
