Job summary

Placements24 seeks a certified HVAC Technician in Cape Town, Western Cape to service commercial and residential HVAC systems. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain equipment, with some remote admin tasks and on-site duties.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years of hands-on HVAC experience, certification, and strong problem-solving skills. A valid driver’s license and the ability to work flexible hours are required. Training opportunities and a company vehicle are offered.

Qualifications

• Certification as HVAC Technician from a recognized institution is mandatory.
• Minimum of 4 years hands-on HVAC installation, maintenance and repair experience.
• Strong knowledge of refrigeration cycles, electrical components and control systems.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems (ACs, furnaces, heat pumps, ventilation).
• Perform regular inspections and preventative maintenance for optimal performance.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot complex HVAC problems with advanced tools.
• Read and interpret drawings, blueprints and specs for installations/repairs.
• Respond to service calls promptly and resolve customer issues.
• Ensure work complies with safety standards and building codes.
• Maintain records of service activities, parts used and time spent.
• Manage service vehicle and inventory of parts and equipment.
• Provide clear communication to clients on work performed and status.

This role is essential for maintaining and servicing the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems across a portfolio of commercial and residential properties. You will be responsible for ensuring that all HVAC systems operate efficiently and safely, providing a comfortable environment for occupants. This position offers a dynamic work schedule, involving both on-site responsibilities and some remote administrative tasks. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of HVAC principles and a proven track record in diagnosing and repairing a wide range of systems. Key Responsibilities

Requirements
