Job summary

Solenis LLC in Wadeville, Gauteng, is seeking a Cellars Operator to support daily stock checks, reporting, and equipment maintenance in a production setting. The role involves collecting samples, monitoring chemical and pasteurizer systems, and ensuring housekeeping across storage areas.

The position requires attentiveness to stock levels, adherence to safety and reporting procedures, and collaboration with the Account Manager/Technician team during shifts.

Responsibilities

• Check and record stock levels at all stations.
• Complete daily usage and service reports.
• Submit the daily pasteurizer report to Account Manager/Technician before shift end.
• Complete a daily service report for Boilers, Cooling Systems, Pasteurizers and Chlorine dioxide.
• Oversee receiving of stock and submit the daily utilities report to Account Manager/Technician.
• Check for leaks in equipment, pumps, tanks, around chemical stations.
• Collect samples from Boilers, Cooling systems, Pasteurizers and Chlorine dioxide systems for testing purposes.
• Attend morning meetings and ensure good housekeeping around Bulk Storage areas & Chemical Stations.
• Transfer chemicals from bulk storage to day tanks, if necessary.

Ensure that there is enough bromine in the brominator. Check and record stock levels at Chemical Stations Collect samples from Boilers, Cooling systems, Pasteurizers and Chlorine dioxide systems for testing purposes. Check for leaks in equipment, pumps, tanks, around chemical stations Clean brominators and PWR sumps during line maintenance days. Transfer chemicals from bulk storage to day tanks, if necessary Check if they are enough testing reagents onsite.
