Job summary

Philadelphia Anti-Drug/Anti-Violence Network seeks a Community Crisis Intervention Program Advocate to support outreach and intervention efforts. The position focuses on helping high-violence communities through proactive engagement and conflict mediation.

The role reports to the CCIP Coordinator and is part of a team serving different geographic areas to reduce violence, promote safety, and provide youth program support. A structured benefits package is included.

• Collaborate with team members to resolve neighborhood conflicts and reduce shootings.

Department/Program: Philadelphia Anti-Drug/Anti-Violence Network

To promote community safety through services that reduce drug abuse and violence, as well as to help at-risk youth develop positive alternatives that will return them to the mainstream of society. Since its inception in 1989, PAAN has utilized its expertise to meet these objectives through street-based community outreach and intervention programs.

Promote positive transformation through community outreach and creating programs that prevent juvenile delinquency and adult criminality. We focus on job readiness, job training and mentoring.

The Community Crisis Intervention Program Advocate reports to the CCIP Coordinator, and is responsible for serving Philadelphia’s most violent communities. Each member is assigned to a team which serves different geographic areas of Philadelphia to prevent neighborhood shootings, killings, and other violent acts. Team members work to safely resolve and or prevent neighborhood conflicts and aim to reduce and prevent violence through rapport building and conflict mediation services.
