Job summary

Boxer Superstores is seeking a Catman Space Planner to join our Commercial – Category Management team at our Head Office in Westville, Durban. The role focuses on developing and managing store planograms per category for new, existing and revamp stores.

The incumbent will work with buyers to ensure correct SKUs are included, update data, and publish final planograms for suppliers. Eight key responsibilities support category strategy and merchandising rules.

Qualifications

• Matric is required.
• Minimum 1 year’s experience in retail.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Internal stakeholder engagement with Buyers.
• BoMM knowledge is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Create generic planograms from the range signed off by the buyer for new stores and post reviews.
• Check all SKUs ranged by the buyer are included in the planogram.
• Flush out old data and import new 6 months data into store planogram.
• Adjust space allocation according to days of supply.
• Review planograms for implementation of category strategy and merchandising rules.
• Print planograms for review and send to manager and HOD for checks.
• Modify planograms based on input and publish final store-specific planograms for suppliers to retrieve.
• Develop planograms by target assortment, format and cluster at SKU level.

Reports To: Category/Master Data Manager

Are you detail-oriented, analytical, and passionate about retail merchandising? Boxer Superstores is looking for a Catman Space Planner to join our Category Management team at our Head Office in Westville, Durban.

Job Purpose

To develop and manage store planograms per category for new, existing and revamp stores.

Duties And Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

Space Planning

• Create generic planogram from range as signed off by buyer for new stores and post reviews
• Check all SKU’s that have been ranged by the buyer included in the planogram
• Flush out old data and import new 6 months data into store planogram
• Adjust space allocation according to days of supply
• Review planogram for implementation of category strategy and merchandising rules
• Print planogram for review
• Send planogram to manager for checking
• Send planogram to HOD’s for review
• Modify planogram to incorporate changes or amend planogram after HOD input
• Print store specific planogram and place info booklet pack for stores and give to category OPS Manager for distribution to stores
• Publish final signed off store specific planograms at CatmanDW for suppliers to retrieve the planograms off the boxer FTP site.

Planograms Development

• Develops planograms based on target assortment, by format and cluster as SKU level.
• Upload and maintain planograms on system.

Ad-hoc

• Update images & dimensions on Planograms
• Classify new products introductions into CatMan DW
• New projects
• Paper trail planogram update
• Re-vamp planograms
• New stores
• Existing stores –remodel planograms

Minimum Requirements

• Matric
• Minimum of 1 years’ experience in retail
