Dis-Chem Pharmacies is seeking a Casual Cashier for the N1 City, Goodwood store. The role supports customer service at the point of sale, recording transactions per SOPs and ensuring accuracy to prevent fraud. You will handle cash, cards and loyalty transactions.

The position requires Grade 12, at least 6 months cashier experience, numeracy strength, and reliable transport or proximity to the store. Market-related pay and retail hours are provided in a casual fixed-term arrangement.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 / Matric is required for this role.
• At least 6 months’ cashier/till operations experience.
• Computer literate with MS Office.
• Sound numerical skills are essential.
• Strong command of English, both written and spoken.
• Basic customer service skills are needed.
• Willing and able to work retail hours.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to Dis-Chem’s customer service policies and procedures.
• Establish a professional relationship with customers.
• Report customer complaints and compliments to the Frontline Supervisor or store management.
• Adhere to the customer turnover hourly rate and promotions.
• Carry out and manage Dis-Chem 5 star communication principles.
• Be responsible for cash flow and safe till operations.
• Process all payments and loyalty cards accurately.
