Job summary

IZI South Africa is seeking a Cash Processing Teller for our George branch. The role focuses on counting, balancing, packing, and reconciling customer currency in line with our protocols, while maintaining strong safety and security standards.

Candidates should have Grade 12 with Math or Accounting, 1–3 years in cash handling, good computer and communication skills, and flexibility for night shifts and weekends. South African citizenship is required.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 with Mathematics or Accounting.
• 1–3 years of teller or cash-handling experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of basic financial principles.
• Proficient in computer use and good communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team under high-pressure conditions.
• Flexible regarding hours, including nights and weekends.
• Capable of lifting/moving heavy containers and trolleys.
• High attention to detail with a security-conscious mindset.

Responsibilities

• Receive and process currency bags and containers.
• Distribute assets to processing areas efficiently.
• Complete receipting and documentation accurately.
• Verify daily work is processed and cleared in internal systems.
• Validate information on cash bags for integrity.
• Adhere to company policies, safety protocols and procedures.
• Ensure secure and timely processing of customer deposits.
• Assist in preparing customer coin and cash orders.
• Operate high-speed currency processing equipment.
• Identify and report cash discrepancies to supervisors for resolution.
• Balance transaction totals and bulk funds accurately.
