Placements24 is seeking a Medical Science Liaison to cover the Northern Cape, based in or near Upington. The role focuses on cardiovascular diseases, serving as the primary scientific contact for KOLs and driving medical education and research collaboration.

The position is hybrid with substantial travel, balancing on-site work in Upington with remote planning tasks. The ideal candidate holds an advanced life sciences degree and 3–5 years in Medical Affairs or related pharma functions, with

Qualifications

Advanced degree in life sciences or medical discipline.
3–5 years in Medical Affairs/Clinical Development or related pharma roles.
Proven ability to communicate complex scientific information to diverse audiences.
Willingness to travel up to 70% within the Northern Cape region.

Responsibilities

Engage with KOLs to discuss data, trials, and unmet needs.
Present complex scientific data clearly and accurately.
Gather and report insights on clinical practice and treatment trends.
Support medical education programs and advisory boards.
Identify investigators and support their participation in trials.
Respond to unsolicited medical information requests from healthcare professionals.
Collaborate with internal medical affairs, clinical development, and commercial teams.
Stay updated on cardiovascular advances and competitor activities.
Contribute to therapeutic area strategies and scientific exchange plans.
