Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a proactive Logistics and Dispatch Coordinator to manage daily transportation operations in Cape Town. You will coordinate deliveries, manage driver schedules, and ensure timely deliveries to meet customer demand.

The role requires strong organizational and communication skills, knowledge of Cape Town transport networks, and experience with dispatch software and office applications. A Grade 12 certificate and a background in logistics are essential, with further logistics

Qualifications

• Proven experience in logistics coordination or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of Cape Town transport networks.
• Proficiency with dispatch software and standard office applications.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage relationships with drivers and clients.
• A Grade 12 certificate or equivalent; further qualifications in logistics or supply chain are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule daily deliveries, assigning routes and vehicles to drivers.
• Monitor driver progress and communicate delays or issues to customers and relevant stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate records of shipments, delivery times, and driver performance.
• Liaise with warehouse staff, drivers, and clients to ensure seamless coordination of pickup and delivery operations.
• Utilize dispatch software and communication tools to manage the flow of information and operational adjustments.
• Respond to customer inquiries and resolve any logistical challenges promptly and effectively.
