Placements24 is partnering with a well-regarded Cape Town preschool to hire a passionate Early Childhood Educator. You will create a stimulating, inclusive, play-based learning environment that supports social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development in young children.

You will plan engaging activities, assess progress, communicate with families, ensure safety, and collaborate with colleagues on events and curriculum, while staying current with first aid and CPR.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Early Childhood Education is required.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience with preschool-aged children.
• Proficiency in early learning frameworks and curriculum development.
• Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with early childhood education best practices.
• Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining detailed records of their development.
• Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, and social interaction.
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and classroom activities.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in the classroom at all times.
• Collaborate with colleagues to plan and execute special events and activities.
