Job summary

IZI South Africa is seeking Cash Processing Tellers in Cape Town. The role involves counting, balancing, packing and reconciling customer cash, with emphasis on accuracy and security. Candidates should have Grade 12 (maths or accounting), 1–3 years teller experience, and strong communication skills. A focus on teamwork and flexibility to work weekends or nights is required.

Qualifications

• Must have Grade 12 with mathematics or accounting.
• 1–3 years relevant teller experience preferred.
• Sound understanding of basic financial principles/information.
• Computer literacy is required.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Strict adherence to policies and procedures.
• Customer thinking and ability to work in teams.
• Flexibility to work weekends and/or night shifts.
• Role requires lifting and moving containers.

Responsibilities

• Manage receipt of all cash bags and containers.
• Distribute bags/containers to different areas.
• Ensure all receipting is completed and balanced.
• Process daily work and balance totals in the system.
• Verify bag information for accuracy.
• Operate high-speed cash processing equipment.
• Balance cash deposits and assist with coin/cash orders.
• Cross-train across multiple cash processing tasks.
