The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop their technical and commercial expertise while gaining exposure to a broad range of Quantity Surveying responsibilities and working alongside experienced industry professionals.

We Are Looking for More Than a Qualification

This client is particularly selective about the calibre of people joining the business. Having the required degree alone will therefore not necessarily be enough.

We would particularly like to hear from candidates who can demonstrate achievement, initiative or leadership during school, university or their early career.

Examples could include
  • Head Boy / Head Girl, Deputy or Prefect
  • Class Representative
  • Student Representative Council or university committee involvement
  • Student society leadership
  • Sports captaincy or competitive university/provincial sport
  • Academic awards, distinctions or other outstanding academic achievements
  • Tutoring or peer mentoring
  • Leadership of university projects or research groups
  • Community or volunteer leadership
  • Entrepreneurship or running a small business/initiative
  • Other meaningful extracurricular achievements

You do not need to have done all of the above. We are interested in understanding what distinguishes you as an individual and what you have achieved beyond simply completing your qualification.

The Ideal Candidate

You are likely to suit this opportunity if you are ambitious, diligent, confident and eager to build a long-term career in Quantity Surveying.

You should be comfortable working as part of a team, developing relationships and taking responsibility for your work. The environment will particularly suit someone who enjoys interacting with people and wants exposure beyond purely desk-based measurement and calculations.

The client is looking for someone with the potential to grow with the business over the long term.

Relocation

Candidates from outside KwaZulu-Natal are encouraged to apply.

Relocation assistance is available for the right candidate, so applicants should not exclude themselves purely because they are currently based in another province.

Application Requirements
  • Updated CV
  • Full academic transcript
  • Confirmation/copy of your BSc Honours in Quantity Surveying
  • Copy of SA ID / relevant work permit
  • Current or most recent salary, if applicable
