Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)) to join a leading financial services institution in George, Western Cape. You will develop financial models, perform variance analyses, and prepare executive-level reports to support strategic decisions.

The role requires 3–5 years post-articles experience, advanced Excel skills, and familiarity with FP&A software/ERP systems (Oracle, SAP). Willingness to relocate to George is essential.

Qualifications

• Chartered Accountant (SA) qualification mandatory.
• 3–5 years post-articles experience in financial analysis or management accounting.
• Advanced Excel skills with complex formulas and data modeling.
• FP&A experience and ERP systems (Oracle, SAP) desirable.
• Strong accounting knowledge and ability to present to non-finance stakeholders.
• Willingness to relocate to George, Western Cape.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed financial models for forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning.
• Perform variance analysis, comparing actual results to budget and forecast, and explain discrepancies.
• Prepare comprehensive financial reports, management presentations, and ad-hoc analyses for senior executives.
• Collaborate with departments to gather financial data and ensure accuracy of information.
• Support the annual budgeting process and rolling forecast updates.
• Identify KPIs and develop dashboards to track financial performance.
• Conduct profitability analysis and business case evaluations for new initiatives.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and economic conditions affecting the company.
• Assist in preparation of statutory financial statements and ensure regulatory compliance.
