You will lead financial statements, month-end close, audits, and tax compliance, while driving improvements in systems, processes and budgeting. This full-time, on-site role offers growth in a stable firm.

Qualifications

• CA(SA) qualification is essential.
• At least 4 years post-articles experience.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and Companies Act.
• Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel.
• Experience in financial management, reporting and analysis.
• Willingness to work full-time from George offices.

Responsibilities

• Lead preparation and finalisation of annual financial statements in line with IFRS and legislation.
• Manage month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, risks and opportunities.
• Oversee internal audit and coordinate with external auditors.
• Ensure robust internal controls are in place and operating.
• Manage corporate tax compliance and statutory filings.
• Develop relationships with banks and regulatory bodies.
• Provide financial leadership to accounting team.
• Implement and improve financial systems and processes.
• Assist in budgets and forecasts.
