Midvaal Local Municipality is seeking a by-law enforcement assistant to liaise with traders, perform routine inspections and ensure policy compliance to maintain orderly trading areas.

The role involves preparing inspection reports, identifying trading sites and handling ad hoc duties as required. Training is provided; Grade 10, security and peace officer training, and a valid driver’s license are preferred, with MS Office literacy advantageous.

Qualifications

• No experience required; incumbent will be provided with training.
• Grade 10 education is preferred.
• Security related training and peace officer training are advantageous.
• Valid driver’s license is an added advantage.
• Computer literacy in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint is required.

• Prepare reports on inspection conducted.
• Identify new trading sites.
• Perform any other related Ad Hoc tasks and duties as requested or required by management from time to time
