Placements24 is looking for an experienced Buyer in Benoni, Gauteng. The role focuses on sourcing FMCG products and raw materials, negotiating with suppliers, and ensuring a steady supply chain to meet consumer demand.

You will build supplier networks, monitor market trends, and drive cost-saving initiatives while coordinating with marketing, sales, and operations to align procurement with business goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Marketing, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3–5 years purchasing experience in FMCG.
• Proven track record in negotiation and supplier management.
• Strong understanding of FMCG market dynamics and product lifecycles.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and MS Office.
• Exceptional communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
