Job summary

Chainlink Recruitment in Springs is seeking a passionate, skilled Butchery Manager to lead the launch of a new full-house butchery. You will oversee professional meat cutting, processing, and retail-ready production while maintaining high hygiene, safety, and customer service standards.

The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of butchery experience, extensive meat knowledge, strong knife skills, and a proven ability to manage stock, display products, and lead a team.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience as a qualified or experienced butcher.
  • Extensive knowledge of meat cuts, trimming, and portion control.
  • Experience in a retail or full‑service butchery.
  • Excellent knife skills and cutting techniques.
  • Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and HACCP principles.
  • Reliable, honest, and able to work under pressure.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Willing to work weekends and public holidays when required.

Responsibilities

  • Professional Meat Cutting — Perform professional cutting, trimming, boning, and portioning of meat.
  • Meat Processing — Prepare and process beef, lamb, pork, chicken, and processed meat products.
  • Retail‑Ready Production — Produce retail‑ready cuts and value‑added meat products.
  • Product Display — Ensure excellent product presentation and display standards.
  • Hygiene & Safety — Maintain high standards of hygiene, food safety, and sanitation.
  • Equipment Operation — Operate and maintain butchery equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Stock Rotation — Monitor stock rotation and minimise waste.
  • Stock Control — Assist with stock control, receiving, and quality inspections.
  • Customer Service — Provide excellent customer service and product advice.
  • Team Productivity — Work effectively within a team while maintaining productivity and quality standards.

Our client is launching an exciting new full‑house butchery in Springs and is seeking a passionate, skilled, and experienced Butchery Manager to join their team. The successful candidate will play a key role in the success of this new venture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Professional Meat Cutting — Perform professional cutting, trimming, boning, and portioning of meat
