Business Intelligence (BI) Reporting Analyst – Johannesburg.

We are looking for a technically minded, analytical and digitally savvy BI Reporting Analyst to join our team in Sandton, Johannesburg.

The successful candidate will work primarily with financial information, developing, maintaining and improving reports and dashboards using Power BI.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with data, technology and reporting, and who can transform financial information into meaningful insights that support business decision-making.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain and enhance financial reports and interactive dashboards using Microsoft Power BI.


• Extract, consolidate and analyse financial data from various systems and sources.


• Translate financial information into clear, accurate and user-friendly reports.


• Identify trends, variances, anomalies and opportunities for improved financial performance.


• Automate manual reporting processes and improve reporting efficiency.


• Ensure data accuracy, integrity and consistency across reports.


• Work with finance and other business stakeholders to understand reporting requirements.


• Assist with month-end reporting, management reports, budgeting and financial performance analysis.


• Use technology to identify opportunities to improve data management and reporting processes.


• Provide ad hoc reports and analysis as required.

Requirements:

• A relevant qualification in Business Intelligence, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Finance, Accounting or a related field.


• Practical experience with Microsoft Power BI, particularly report and dashboard development.


• Strong Excel skills and confidence working with large datasets.


• Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.


• An interest in financial information and business performance.


• Strong computer literacy and an aptitude for learning new systems and technologies.


• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate reports.

Advantageous Skills:

• Experience with DAX and Power Query.


• Knowledge of SQL and database concepts.


• Experience integrating data from multiple systems.


• Exposure to financial reporting, management accounts or accounting systems.


• Experience automating reports and streamlining manual processes.
