A leading sales firm in Durban is seeking a New Business Partner to drive sales targets in logistics. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of sales experience, particularly in road freight, and a Grade 12 qualification. Responsibilities include identifying new leads, providing management with market insights, and maintaining client relationships. Proficiency in MS Office, especially PowerPoint and Excel, is essential. This role presents a dynamic opportunity to contribute to business growth in a supportive environment.
The New Business Partner is required to meet their own sales targets as set out by the objectives in the business.
Provide feedback to management regarding progress, issues, concerns and opportunities.
Assist management with implementing initiatives and tracking progress.
Provide input to management regarding pricing models.
Share recommendations with management to evolve service offerings.
Provide key insights to support the business review process.
Identify new business sales leads and seek opportunities to upsell where necessary.
Gain a deep understanding of the potential client''s business and how the company can add value to their business.
Contact potential customers and close deals to meet sales targets.
Negotiate rates ensuring alignment with the company''s pricing strategy and industry standards.
Complete and submit administrative tasks and documentation in accordance with agreed timelines and quality standards.
Engage with and support new clients as they are onboarded.
Maintain and update the CRM system as required.
Meet monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets and KPIs.
Stay updated with market trends and best practices.
Develop professional skills i.e. communication, sales, relationship building and presentation on a continuous basis.
Contribute to the development and execution of strategic account management plans, identifying opportunities within the business as well as for operational improvements and solutions.
Build effective relationships with all stakeholders (Operations, Customer Service) to ensure that business requirements are met in accordance with service level agreements, plans, policies and procedures and to support the delivery of excellent customer service.
Ensure alignment and integration with Regional Operations, CDS and in-house agents to meet client requirements.
Work closely with the Retention Regional Team Lead in order to ensure the smooth transitioning of new clients.
