Job summary

Barron is seeking a Business / Data Analyst Developer to join its BI & Analytics team in South Africa. The role focuses on developing data pipelines, transforming raw data into analytics-ready datasets, creating Power BI reports and dashboards, and delivering business insights to support strategic decisions using Microsoft Fabric and related technologies.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a quantitative field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in BI, Data Engineering or Data Analytics.
• 2+ years developing Power BI reports and dashboards.

• Experience engaging with business stakeholders and presenting analytics findings.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain data pipelines within Microsoft Fabric.
• Ingest, cleanse, and transform data from multiple source systems.
• Build and maintain Lakehouses, Dataflows, and Notebooks.
• Develop Power BI reports, dashboards, and semantic models.
• Write SQL, Python, and PySpark code for data transformation and analysis.
• Perform data modelling and create analytics-ready datasets.

About the Role

Minimum Requirements

Qualifications

Experience

• Minimum 2 years' experience in Business Intelligence, Data Engineering or Data Analytics.
• Minimum 2 years' experience developing Power BI reports and dashboards.
• Experience working with Microsoft Fabric.
• Experience with SQL, Python, and data modelling.
• Experience engaging with business stakeholders and presenting analytical findings.
