Bestmed Mpumalanga is seeking a Business Consultant to drive advisor training, support, and relationship-building with brokers, aiming to position Bestmed as the scheme of choice for intermediaries and clients.

The role focuses on growing membership, recruiting brokerages, and promoting product benefits while ensuring regulatory compliance and strong broker engagement.

Formación

• Grade 12 with Mathematics or Maths Literacy (Mathematics on a symbol E or higher. Maths Literacy on a symbol C or higher)
• Diploma or Degree in Sales/Marketing/Business Management or Customer Relations
• Minimum 4 years in sales/customer relationship management within the Financial Services Industry
• Valid driver’s license and own reliable vehicle

Responsabilidades

• Building and maintaining strong relationships with allocated brokers and serving as the primary liaison between brokers and the medical scheme.
• Driving business growth by identifying new broker opportunities, recruiting new brokerages, and supporting brokers in growing membership within their portfolios.
• Promoting the scheme's products and value proposition in the market while attracting and retaining a healthy risk pool that contributes to long-term sustainability.
• Ensuring brokers are informed about product benefits, changes, underwriting rules, compliance requirements and industry developments through regular training and communication.
• Providing ongoing service and operational support by assisting with membership-related queries and coordinating with internal departments to ensure a positive broker and member experience.
• Gathering market intelligence, monitoring competitor activity, identifying business opportunities, and providing feedback to management on market trends and broker needs.
• Ensuring compliance with regulatory and company requirements while maintaining accurate records and reporting on activities and performance.

Bestmed Mpumalanga has an opportunity available for a Business Consultant position in the Advisor Sales Channel Department.

Job purpose

Responsibility and accountability for executing advisor training, support and relationship building in order for Bestmed to be positioned as the Scheme of choice for the Intermediary and their clients. To implement effective strategies that will position the Advisor Sales Channel as the delivery structure of Bestmed activities with particular emphasis on the achievement of growing Bestmed’s membership.

• Broker Consultants are also responsible for promoting the scheme's products and value proposition in the market while attracting and retaining a healthy risk pool that contributes to the long-term sustainability of the Scheme.
• Broker Consultants ensure brokers remain informed about product benefits, benefit changes, underwriting rules, compliance requirements, and industry developments through regular training and communication.
• Provides ongoing service and operational support by assisting with membership-related queries, facilitating issue resolution, and coordinating with internal departments to ensure a positive broker and member experience.
• The role also involves gathering market intelligence, monitoring competitor activity, identifying business opportunities, and providing feedback to management on market trends and broker needs.
• Ensuring compliance with regulatory and company requirements while maintaining accurate records, reporting on activities and performance, and tracking key business objectives such as growth, retention, and broker engagement.
