Job summary

BBD is seeking business analysts to collaborate with software professionals and client stakeholders to define project requirements, monitor progress and communicate expectations. The role includes studying business functions, drafting specifications, and driving process improvements across projects in a hybrid work environment.

You will participate in workshops, map workflows, and contribute to implementing new technology and systems, helping clients achieve measurable outcomes.

Qualifications

• Diploma in business analysis or equivalent required.
• Experience in software design/analysis, software maintenance, and process improvement.
• Proficient verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Define project requirements by identifying milestones, phases and elements; form project teams and establish budgets.
• Monitor progress by tracking activity, reporting progress and proposing actions based on data modelling.
• Communicate with client stakeholders to assess expectations and gather requirements.
• Study business functions, gather information and evaluate output requirements and formats.
• Write project specifications and improve systems by designing modifications.

The role

BBD is looking for business analysts to work alongside software professionals and client stakeholders, and assist with:

• Defining project requirements by identifying project milestones, phases and elements; forming project teams; establishing project budget
• Monitoring project progress by tracking activity, resolving problems, publishing progress reports, recommending actions and identifying problems using data modelling techniques
• Communicating with client stakeholders to assess expectations
• Formulate ways for businesses to improve, based on research
• Determining operational objectives by studying business functions, gathering information, and evaluating output requirements and formats
• Constructing workflow charts and diagrams
• Studying a system’s capabilities
• Writing project specifications
• Improving systems by studying current practices and designing modifications thereof
• Recommending controls by identifying problems
• Writing improved procedures
• Overseeing implementation of new technology and systems
• Running workshops and training sessions

Requirements

• Business analysis diploma
• Experience in:
  • software design and analysis
  • Software maintenance
  • Process Improvement
  • Microsoft Access and/ -or SQL
• Verbal and written communication skills
