About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Business Analyst to join our team and play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions. You will be responsible for capturing, analysing, and translating business requirements into clear technical requirements using a requirements management tool, while maintaining traceability throughout the project lifecycle.

You will collaborate closely with stakeholders, developers, testers, and project teams to ensure effective and efficient delivery of software and hardware‑integrated solutions.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Minimum BSc in Computer Science; Preferably: B Eng degree (Industrial, Electronic, or Computer Engineering) or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant Business Analyst experience; 5+ years preferred in a similar role within an engineering or software environment.
Key Technical Skills
  • Proficiency in tools for requirements capture and management (Sparx Enterprise Architect preferred).
  • Skilled in modelling business processes.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using SQL, Excel, or BI tools.
  • Proven ability to write clear documentation: BRDs, Functional Specs, User Stories with acceptance criteria.
  • Understanding of system architectures, APIs, and data flows.
  • Ability to define acceptance criteria and test cases aligned to requirements.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira).
  • Familiarity with version control, traceability, and requirement change management.
  • Proficiency in creating visualisations and reports to present requirements and solutions.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Analysis
  • Engage stakeholders to gather and clarify business needs.
  • Capture requirements in the requirements management tool.
  • Ensure traceability of all requirements from business through to test cases.
  • Facilitate review and feedback sessions with stakeholders.
  • Refine and validate requirements to enable efficient solution implementation.
2. Development Process
  • Ensure readiness of requirements for development start.
  • Validate acceptance criteria and ensure test coverage for all requirement types.Participate in team meetings to provide clarity during development.
  • Act as main interface between business and development teams.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to ensure the right customer problem is solved.
3. Software Suite & Hardware Product Responsibilities
  • Align business requirements with software, hardware, and portfolio roadmaps.
  • Track and record decisions and action items during meetings.
  • Review and support software development project plans.
  • Promote UX standardisation across product solutions.
4. Solution Process Tracking
  • Review and update User Requirement Specifications (URS).
  • Assist with creation and linkage of SRS (Software Requirements Specs), SDD (Software Design Docs).
  • Track work packages and progress in Jira.
  • Define functional test procedures in collaboration with testing teams.
5. Bids Support
  • Support proposal reviews with the Programmes and Bids teams.
  • Contribute to the technical knowledge base.
  • Detail functional options and requirements for bids and customer solutions.
6. Requirements Management Tool Use & Support
  • Promote adoption and consistent use of the requirements management tool.
  • Apply templates and workflows to ensure quality and efficiency.
  • Contribute to meta‑model improvements and tool optimisation.
7. Process Improvements
  • Drive process and functional improvements based on feedback across:
  • Stakeholder engagement
  • Testing and development cycles
  • Tool usage
  • Roadmap planning
