Business Accounts Assistant

Job Brief
Urang manages over 400 Residential and Commercial blocks across London and continues to expand as a result of recommendations from clients and lessees who are happy with the attention they receive from our management team. Urang also offers a property management service for landlords who let their property.

Our unique combination of experience has allowed us to put in place quality control systems of the highest standard. This makes us swift, flexible and responsive, allowing us to absorb new instructions of any size with ease, so that our clients can be confident their buildings are managed with the utmost professionalism from day one.

We are now looking to hire a Business Accounts Assistant who is looking for career development to work alongside our finance team based in London. You will be working with a team of Service Charge Account Managers, Credit Controllers, Accounts Administrators and Property Managers and will be reporting to the Business Accountant.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out weekly reconciliation and accurate bookkeeping of Business Accounts
  • Issue sales invoices to clients and process payments
  • Proof check all supplier invoices are uploaded on the system and processed for payment
  • Assist in compiling and presenting financial/budget reports
  • Liaise with Service Charge team regarding any queries or payment discrepancies
  • Perform credit control functions on all Business Accounts
  • Monitor Quarterly targets and cashflow and report to Line Manager on any discrepancies

Requirements

  • Educated to a Degree Level. Possession of a professional qualification is an advantage (SAICA, SAIPA, CIMA or equivalent)
  • Strong communication and technical skills
  • Good knowledge of business and property accounting systems as well as advanced MS Excel and Word Skills
  • Property accounting background desirable
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and attention to details

Benefits:
Working Hours: 09:00 to 18:00 SAST, Monday - Friday
Salary: R18,000-R22,000 per month (depending on experience)
Leave: 15 days holidays (plus public holidays).
Contract: Permanent

Note: This is a remote role that requires you to be based in Cape Town due to the occasional office visit in Stellenbosch. You will also be required to have reliable internet access during working hours and periods of extended load shedding.
