Job summary

Risque Dynamics is seeking an experienced Building Manager to oversee daily operations of a mixed-use development in Cape Town. You will lead staff, coordinate contractors and ensure safety, cleanliness and tenant satisfaction.

Key requirements include a minimum of 5 years in facility/property management, strong leadership, budget awareness and a proactive, can-do attitude. A Grade 12 with an MBA or similar qualification is advantageous.

Job description

Risque Dynamics is seeking an experienced Building Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of a mixed-use development. You will manage staff, oversee maintenance and ensure the highest standards of safety, cleanliness and tenant satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Assume responsibility for the upkeep and day-to-day operations of a mixed-use/residential/lifestyle precinct.
• Manage all building staff and coordinate contractors.
• Oversee maintenance, security and cleanliness of the facility.
• Manage tenant and visitor relations.
• Monitor health and safety regulations and ensure compliance.
• Prepare and manage budgets effectively.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 and any building or estate, MBA, or similar tertiary qualification will be highly advantageous.

Experience Required

• A minimum of 5 years’ relevant working experience
• Facility and Property Management experience is highly advantageous.
• Residential Facility and Property Management experience will be highly advantageous.
• An understanding of maintenance matters and procedures is essential.
• Strong operations management experience is required.
• The successful candidate will have proven leadership skills, knowledge of staff management and disciplinary processes and strong administrative abilities.
• Good understanding of budget management, cost saving and control.
• Understanding and experience in Safety, Health and Environmental (SHE) matters; health and safety and fire compliance.
• Firefighting and/or First Aid experience will be advantageous.
