Dis-Chem Pharmacies in Midrand is seeking a Budgeting Assistant to join the Finance team. The role provides administrative and financial support in budget preparation, monitoring and reporting, ensuring accurate maintenance of budget information and variances.

The ideal candidate holds an accounting qualification, 1–2 years in finance or budgeting, strong Excel skills, and experience with financial systems.

Qualifications

• Matric or equivalent Senior Certificate.
• Diploma or Degree in Accounting.
• 1–2 years of experience in finance, budgeting, accounting administration or related environment.
• Experience with financial systems and spreadsheets.
• Strong Excel skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Capture and maintain approved budget information in relevant financial systems within defined timelines.
• Ensure budget changes are tracked and updated timeously.
• Ensure budget information is accurate and maintained per procedures.
• Extract and prepare regular budget monitoring reports.
• Perform basic variance analysis and escalate large variances to management.
• Maintain accurate records and supporting documentation.
• Respond to routine budget and expenditure queries.
