Job summary

Dis-Chem Pharmacies is seeking a Brand Strategy Lead at its Head Office in Johannesburg to define brand strategy, architecture, and governance standards across marketing touchpoints.

You will develop brand guidelines and toolkits, lead integrated campaigns, and oversee brand compliance to strengthen brand equity and customer trust. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in brand strategy and cross-functional leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Brand Management, Communications, or related honours/postgraduate advantageous.
• 5+ years in brand strategy/management or integrated marketing in retail/healthcare/FMCG.
• 2–3 years coordinating cross-functional marketing initiatives or multidisciplinary teams.
• Proven track record of improving brand consistency and delivering measurable campaign impact.

Responsibilities

• Define brand positioning, strategy, and architecture across Dis-Chem brands and visual identity standards.
• Translate customer and market insights into brand priorities and messaging frameworks.
• Guide brand direction for annual planning and major campaigns.
• Develop and maintain brand guidelines, tone of voice, and visual identity standards; ensure governance.
