Placements24 in Paarl is seeking a Junior Brand Assistant to support our marketing team. This entry‑level role offers exposure to brand development and execution within the FMCG sector, with a hybrid work arrangement combining in‑office collaboration and remote flexibility.

You will assist brand managers with campaigns, conduct basic market research, coordinate activities and events, manage marketing collateral, and track performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.
• Zero to two years of marketing or brand experience.
• Genuine interest in FMCG and brand marketing.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Enthusiastic, proactive, and eager to learn new skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist brand managers in executing marketing plans and campaigns.
• Conduct market research and competitive analysis under guidance of senior team members.
• Coordinate marketing activities including event logistics and material production.
• Manage and organize marketing collateral and promotional materials.
• Provide administrative support to the brand team, including scheduling meetings and preparing reports.
• Monitor social media channels and assist with content scheduling and community engagement.
• Track marketing campaign performance and assist in compiling results.
• Process invoices and manage budget tracking for specific marketing initiatives.
• Maintain product information databases and ensure accuracy of brand assets.
• Support the team in ad-hoc marketing projects and tasks as required.
