Job summary

VKB Group is seeking a Branch Marketer to join our retail team in South Africa. The role focuses on driving sales growth, building customer relationships, and marketing the organisation's products in line with targets.

You’ll proactively promote merchandise, identify business opportunities, and manage stock to ensure product availability and excellent service.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or NQF 4 is required; a tertiary qualification is advantageous.
• 2-3 years’ experience in agricultural retail.
• Experience in animal health products and veterinary medicine, with knowledge of AFCASA and similar products.

Responsibilities

• Sales and Marketing of agricultural commodities and products (hardware, irrigation, animal health products).
• Assist customers with product information and recommendations to meet their needs.
• Ensure effective stock control and product availability.
• Deliver excellent customer service and maintain strong relationships.

About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Branch Marketer to join our retail team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for driving sales growth, building and maintaining strong customer relationships, and marketing and selling the organisation's products in line with agreed sales targets. The role includes proactively promoting merchandise to customers, identifying business opportunities, and managing stock levels to ensure the consistent availability of products and exceptional service delivery.

Requirements

• Grade 12 or NQF 4
• A relevant tertiary qualification will be advantageous
• 2-3 years’ experience in agricultural retail
• Experience in animal health products and veterinary medicine, with knowledge of AFCASA and similar products, including active ingredients, product applications, and usage recommendations.
• Orientation towards marketing and client service
• Team orientated
• Natural people-person who thrives under pressure
• Code 08 drivers' licence required
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Willingness to learn, grow, and occasionally work after hours
• Proficient in Afrikaans and English

What You’ll Be Doing

• Sales and Marketing of agricultural commodities / products including but not limited to (Hardware, Irrigation, Animal Health / Medicine products)
• Assist customers, providing product information and recommendations to meet their needs.

• Other ad-hoc job related duties
• Continuously rendering customer service of high standard to walk-in customers and via telephonic and email medium
• Other job-related administrative duties such as GRV's, Filling, invoicing etc.)
