An exciting career opportunity exists for a Branch Manager within the Guarding Division based in the Centurion Hub.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the effective management, growth, profitability, and operational performance of the branch while ensuring exceptional service delivery, regulatory compliance, client satisfaction, and employee engagement.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate's responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:
Operational Management
- Provide a comprehensive and proactive security service to clients.
- Manage and coordinate all branch operations to ensure service excellence.
- Ensure compliance with all contractual obligations, SLA’s, and KPI’s.
- Conduct site inspections, risk assessments, and security audits.
- Manage daily operations and ensure all assigned sites are correctly allocated and maintained on branch records.
- Conduct after-hours and weekend site visits when required.
- Respond effectively to incidents, emergencies, and operational challenges.
- Ensure all company SOP’s are implemented and adhered to.
Client Relationship Management
- Maintain strong working relationships with clients, contractors, service providers, and stakeholders.
- Act as the primary contact for all internal and external security-related queries.
- Attend client meetings and security operational meetings.
- Ensure high levels of client satisfaction and retention.
- Manage ad hoc security requirements and special operational requests.
- Keep clients informed through regular communication and reporting.
Leadership and People Management
- Lead, motivate, develop, and manage branch personnel.
- Oversee the management and discipline of security personnel.
- Ensure compliance with the Company's disciplinary code and labour legislation.
- Facilitate SOP, induction, and job-specific training for security personnel.
- Promote a culture of accountability, professionalism, and performance excellence.
- Ensure training and development initiatives are conducted as required.
Financial and Business Management
- Manage branch profitability, growth, and cost control.
- Improve operational efficiencies and productivity.
- Assist Operations Management in achieving business objectives and branch targets.
- Support business development initiatives and client retention strategies.
Compliance, Safety and Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, company policies, and industry regulations.
- Conduct dynamic security and safety risk assessments.
- Promote and manage Health & Safety compliance across all sites.
- Manage contractor compliance and mitigate risks associated with contractor activities.
- Ensure all incident reporting requirements are completed accurately and timeously.
- Conduct security compliance inspections and operational sweeps.
Reporting
- Prepare and submit weekly, monthly, and ADHOC operational reports.
- Analyse incidents and recommend process improvements where required.
- Provide management with accurate operational, financial, and risk-related information.
Minimum Requirements and Competencies
Qualifications
- Grade 12 (Matric).
- PSIRA Grade A Registration.
- Firearm Competency for Business Purposes:
Rifle
Experience
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in the security industry in a management capacity.
- Previous experience within security forces or related security environments will be advantageous.
- Proven experience in managing multi-site security operations.
Technical Skills
- Computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Strong understanding of SLA and KPI management.
- Incident reporting and risk assessment experience.
- Knowledge of security legislation, procedures, and industry best practices.
