Job summary

Cashbuild is seeking a Board Cutting and Edging Supervisor in Louis Trichardt, South Africa. The role oversees cutting and edging operations, ensuring quality and smooth running, with responsibility for supervising workers and maintaining machinery according to customer specs.

Requirements include Grade 12, 2 years carpentry/2 years supervisory experience, and willingness to work shifts, weekends and public holidays. OHSA safety adherence is essential.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or equivalent NQF 4 qualifications.
• 2 years carpentry experience would be advantageous.
• 2 years managerial or supervisory experience would be advantageous.
• 1 year experience working with cutting and edging machinery would be advantageous.
• Ability to perform basic calculations accurately.
• Well-developed problem solving and analytical skills.
• Must be willing to work shifts, weekends, and Public Holidays.
• Must be able to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Minimise wastage and customer complaints through accurate calibration of machines according to cutting list.
• Minimise wastage and customer complaints through accurate reading and interpreting of cutting lists.
• Perform daily cleaning and preventative maintenance on machinery.
• Ensure effective Employee scheduling planned and implemented to provide exceptional Customer service.
• Advise Customers correctly on product.
• Assist Customer with any product queries.
• Assist with Customer complaints timely.
• Must be available in area of responsibility.
• Assist in other departments as and when required
• Ensure area of responsibility is packed neatly and free of obstacles.
