Job summary

Hire Resolve is seeking an experienced Blowmoulding Technician (Artisan) in Tulbagh, Western Cape. The role focuses on operating, maintaining, and optimising blow moulding machinery to ensure quality and efficient production.

You will perform preventative and corrective maintenance, troubleshoot faults, and participate in continuous improvement while adhering to health, safety, and food safety standards.

Qualifications

• Technical qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Plastics Engineering (N4, Trade Test, or equivalent).
• Proven blow moulding experience (extrusion or injection stretch blow moulding preferred).
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, monitor, and maintain blow moulding machines for optimal performance.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance to minimise downtime.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic faults on production equipment.
• Assist with mould changes, machine setup, alignment, and commissioning.
• Diagnose faults and complete root cause analyses to prevent recurring issues.
• Monitor and optimise machine settings, cycle times, and material usage.
• Inspect products to ensure compliance with quality specifications.
• Complete production, maintenance, and quality documentation accurately.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, food safety, and quality standards.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
• Mentor and assist operators and junior technicians where required.
