Asty Plastics Machinery Pty Ltd is seeking an Extrusion Blow Moulding Process Setter / Technician to keep our production lines running smoothly in Umbogintwini, Amanzimtoti. The role requires hands-on expertise with blow moulding processes and tooling selection.

The successful candidate will have strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, plus experience with testing practices, version control, and defect management. On-site work with a focus on quality and uptime.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years working experience as a Blow moulding Process Setter.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Proficiency in testing practices, version control, and defect management.
• Experience in positions requiring similar skills and tooling.
• Knowledge of identifying the correct tooling for mould changes.

Responsibilities

• Maintain continuous operation of plastic blow mould equipment.
• Complete mould changes within defined time frames.
• Observe automatic machines to ensure products meet specs and detect malfunctions.
• Assist quality and process technicians by providing necessary information to identify root causes.
• Start-up and processing of bottles in moulds used for established products to QA approve.
• Maintain communication with Mould Change Over Manager, Maintenance and Shift Supervisor.
• Diagnose and solve machine problems.
• Ensure housekeeping maintains a tidy environment.

Our company located in Umbogintwini, Amanzimtoti, Durban is seeking a skilled Extrusion Blow Moulding Process Setter / Technician. We are an ISO certified company.

Must Have

• Minimum of 3 years working experience as a Blow moulding Process Setter.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Proficiency in best practices for testing, version control, and defect management.
• Work and tooling experience in a position that requires similar skills.
• Candidate must have knowledge of identifying the correct tooling’s to be used during mould changes.

Duties Include

• Crucial to maintaining continuous operation of plastic blow mould equipment.
• Mould changes are complete in defined time frames.
• Will observe continuous operation of automatic machines to ensure products meet specifications and detect malfunctions.
• To support quality technicians and process technicians in identifying root cause by providing necessary information.
• Bottle blowing start-up and processing in moulds that were used for established products to meet QA approval.
• Maintain good and continuous communication with Mould Change Over Manager, Maintenance and Shift Supervisor.
• Perform diagnosis and problem solving on machines.
• Ensure housekeeping and general areas facilitates a tidy, neat environment.
