Job summary

The South African National Blood Service in Welkom is seeking a Clinic Supervisor to oversee blood collection drives and ensure donor safety, stock management, and SOP adherence. You will lead the team, assist with setup, and maintain accurate donor documentation.

You will train staff, engage donors, manage queries, and respond to emergencies (First Aid/CPR) as required, while upholding high service standards and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in General Nursing Sciences required.
• Code B or EB Manual driver’s license required.
• Minimum 2 years Registered Professional Nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Collect whole blood and/or apheresis units to meet assigned target.
• Assist with setup and off-loading of the blood drive.
• Complete donor documentation and assessment per SOP.
• Provide pre- and post-donation care and refreshments to donors.
• Manage donor registration and address queries and complaints.
• Coach staff on customer service and root-cause analysis of issues.
• Ensure safety and SOP compliance throughout the blood drive.
