Job summary

Pick n Pay in Soweto, Gauteng, is hiring a full-time Butchery Operator. You will operate all butchery equipment including the bandsaw, control stock, and prepare/break meat carcasses to specification.

You will de-bone cuts, produce mince and boerewors, prevent wastage, monitor temperatures to maintain the cold chain, assist with meat receiving, train staff on new products, and uphold cleanliness in all butchery areas. You must be able to lift carcasses and work in a cold environment.

Qualifications

• Matric is required.
• Must reside close to the store.
• OHS Act medical criteria must be met.
• Excellent customer service and teamwork.
• Ability to cut/manufacture meat products (tested).

Responsibilities
