Placements24 is seeking a highly analytical Blockchain Data Scientist to join its team in Vereeniging, Gauteng, with a hybrid work model allowing partial remote work. You will apply advanced data science, ML, and blockchain analytics to extract insights from large crypto-related datasets and build predictive models for clients.

The ideal candidate has a master's or PhD in a quantitative field, 4+ years of experience in data science, strong Python/R skills, and experience with SQL/NoSQL and data

• Master's degree or PhD in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
• 4+ years of experience as a Data Scientist, with a focus on financial markets or blockchain data.
• Proficiency in Python or R and libraries (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow).
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Strong ML and statistical modelling skills.
• Familiarity with blockchain technologies and on-chain data analysis.
• Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Matplotlib, Seaborn).
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
• Hybrid work environment experience.
