Placements24 is partnering with a rapidly expanding fintech startup in Bloemfontein to hire a Blockchain Engineer with a strong backend focus. You will design, implement and optimize backend services and smart contracts, integrating blockchain networks with existing systems.

The role demands solid experience in Go/Python/Node.js, Solidity, and cloud platforms, with a passion for secure, scalable finance solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering or equivalent.
• 3+ years backend software development experience.
• At least 1 year experience in blockchain or smart contracts.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain robust backend services and APIs for blockchain applications.
• Implement and optimize smart contracts using languages like Solidity or Rust.
• Integrate blockchain networks with existing backend systems and databases.
• Design and manage blockchain node infrastructure and network configurations.
• Ensure the security, scalability, and performance of backend blockchain components.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
• Collaborate with frontend developers and product managers to deliver seamless user experiences.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to backend blockchain systems.
• Stay updated on the latest blockchain technologies and best practices.
