Placements24 is seeking a highly proficient BIM Specialist with a strong architectural background to join their team in the Queenstown region of the Eastern Cape. You will develop BIM standards, templates, and workflows across architectural projects and support project teams with BIM coordination and training.

Responsibilities include managing complex BIM models in Revit and Navisworks, performing clash detections, and ensuring data integrity throughout the project lifecycle.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly proficient BIM Specialist with a strong background in architecture to join their forward-thinking team, supporting projects primarily in the Queenstown, Eastern Cape region. This role is critical for implementing and managing Building Information Modeling (BIM) workflows across various architectural projects. You will be responsible for developing BIM standards, training project teams, and ensuring the effective use of BIM software to enhance design coordination, clash detection, and project delivery efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement BIM standards , templates, and workflows for architectural projects.
• Create and manage complex BIM models using Revit and other related software.
• Conduct clash detection analysis and coordinate models with engineering disciplines.
• Provide training and technical support to architectural teams on BIM best practices.
• Ensure the quality and integrity of BIM data throughout the project lifecycle.
• Collaborate with project managers and design teams to optimize BIM utilization.

Requirements

• A relevant qualification in Architecture, Architectural Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience working with BIM in an architectural context.
• Advanced proficiency in Revit , Navisworks, and other BIM-related software.
• Strong understanding of architectural design processes and construction methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot BIM-related issues.
• Good communication and training skills to effectively support project teams.
