Job summary

AECOM in Gauteng seeks a BIM Technician to model and deliver drawings using Revit (MEP and Structures) and Civil 3D, ensuring models meet client requirements and BIM plans. The role requires at least 1 year of Revit modelling and a BIM qualification.

You will check accuracy, support coordination with Navisworks, manage BIM360, and stay current with industry standards to support project delivery and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Requires BIM modelling experience and ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Knowledge of gravity and pressure flow in pipes is required.
• Dynamo scripting to develop underground services modelling.
• Familiar with BIM standards and Revit for MEP and Structures.
• Minimum 1 year of Revit modelling experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and deliver client-focused results.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Model using Revit for MEP and structures with minimal supervision.
• Prepare BIM models and deliverables to meet client requirements and BIM Execution Plan.
• Check completeness and accuracy before review by senior staff.
• Support projects as directed by Team Leader.
• Coordinate using Navisworks and other tools; assist with model/drawing info.
• Manage and coordinate BIM360 projects.
• Organize work to meet deadlines.
• Keep up-to-date with latest software and techniques.
• Model underground services in Revit.
