Job summary

Boardroom Appointments is seeking a BIM Draughting/Modelling professional in Gauteng to develop and maintain accurate 3D models in line with BEP and ISO 19650 standards. You will produce detailed drawings from BIM models and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to implement design changes.

The role requires strong attention to detail, familiarity with Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and data management within a CDE. Effective teamwork is essential for project success.

Qualifications

• Draughting / Modelling qualification from a recognised institution (Diploma or Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction, or related field).
• Familiarity with ISO 19650 principles and BEP requirements.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and construction documents.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain accurate 3D models based on design and construction requirements.
• Ensure models align with BIM Execution Plan (BEP), project standards, and ISO 19650 guidelines.
• Produce detailed drawings and extractions from BIM models, including plans, sections, and schedules.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to incorporate design changes and ensure model consistency.
• Assist in clash detection and coordination using Navisworks, Solibri, or other model-checking tools.
• Manage and update model components, families, and parametric elements in Revit or other BIM software.
• Support model-based quantity take-offs and construction sequencing when required.
• Ensure data accuracy and proper file management within the Common Data Environment (CDE).
• Work closely with BIM Coordinators to resolve modelling issues and maintain quality standards.
