Placements24 is seeking an experienced BIM Manager in Bloemfontein to establish and oversee BIM standards and workflows across projects, driving data consistency and collaboration. You will develop BEPs, manage model quality, and train architectural and engineering staff as part of a hybrid work model.

Lead the adoption of ISO 19650-based practices, stay current with BIM technologies, and mentor teams to achieve high-quality, integrated project delivery.

About the Role Our client is seeking an experienced BIM Manager to establish and oversee their Building Information Modeling standards and workflows in Bloemfontein . This critical role involves leading the adoption and implementation of BIM across all project phases, ensuring data consistency, efficiency, and enhanced collaboration among project teams. You will be responsible for developing BIM execution plans, managing model quality, and providing training and support to architectural and engineering staff. This is a key position for driving technological advancement within the firm, contributing to the delivery of high-quality, complex projects in Free State through effective digital integration and best practices in a hybrid operational model.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain company-wide BIM standards , protocols, and workflows.
• Create and manage BIM Execution Plans (BEPs) for projects, ensuring compliance and quality control.
• Lead training sessions and provide ongoing support to architectural, engineering, and construction teams on BIM software and processes.
• Oversee the creation and management of central BIM content libraries and templates.
• Collaborate with project stakeholders to facilitate effective data exchange and model coordination.
• Stay abreast of the latest BIM technologies and industry trends, recommending advancements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in BIM coordination, management, or implementation.
• Expertise in Revit and other relevant BIM software (e.g., Navisworks, BIM 360).
• Thorough understanding of BIM lifecycle, standards (e.g., ISO 19650), and best practices.
• Proven experience in developing and enforcing BIM standards and quality assurance.
