Job summary

MSP Staffing Pty seeks a Bid Specialist to drive end-to-end development of proposals, tenders and RFP/RFI submissions within the renewable energy and C&I sectors in Cape Town. You will coordinate stakeholders and turn complex energy offerings into compelling commercial submissions.

You will manage multiple bids, tailor content to opportunities, and maintain CRM records while reporting on pipeline activity and outcomes.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years’ bid/proposal writing or related commercial experience.
• Ability to produce high-quality written work to tight deadlines.
• Strong writing, editing and organisational skills.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing multiple deadlines.
• Exposure to energy sector, renewable energy or energy trading is a plus.

Our client is seeking a Bid Specialist to drive the end-to-end development of high-quality proposals, tenders and RFP/RFI submissions within the renewable energy and commercial & industrial (C&I) sector. Based in Cape Town, this role is ideal for a strong writer who can manage multiple bids, coordinate stakeholders and turn complex energy offerings into compelling commercial submissions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end preparation of proposals, tenders and RFP/RFI responses, from initial structure through to final submission.


• Tailor submissions to individual clients, opportunities and evaluation criteria, ensuring all requirements are addressed.


• Translate complex energy products, tariffs and contractual terms into clear, persuasive customer-facing content.


• Maintain accurate CRM records and report on pipeline activity, submissions and outcomes.

Requirements

• 2–3 years’ experience in bid/proposal writing, consulting, business development support or a similar commercial role.


• Proven ability to produce high-quality written work to tight deadlines.


• Strong writing, editing, coordination and organisational skills.


• Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing multiple deadlines.


• Exposure to the energy sector, particularly renewable energy, energy trading or the South African C&I market, will be advantageous.
