Job summary

Tiger Brands in South Africa seeks an experienced packaging professional to lead the development and launch of high-quality, differentiated packaging. You will re-engineer existing packaging, manage suppliers, and ensure documentation is timely and concise.

Collaborating with Product Technologist, Manufacturing, and R&D, you will allocate time, control changes, and drive trials and life cycle studies to optimize packaging performance and cost efficiency.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in packaging development within FMCG.
• Proven ability to manage packaging projects end-to-end.
• Experience with documentation and supplier engagement is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop packaging design and create specifications to support product and manufacturing needs.
• Manage packaging for innovation from development through to commercialization.
• Support manufacturing on existing packaging issues and drive cost efficiency.
• Coordinate with R&D, procurement, and manufacturing on project delivery.
• Oversee artwork management, proofing, and final sign-off with suppliers.
