Job summary

Ovations Talent Sourcing is seeking an experienced technical leader to drive end-to-end delivery of IBM BAW/BPM solutions in a hybrid Johannesburg environment. You will mentor the BAW team, govern designs, and ensure high availability of core platforms.

The role requires 8-10+ years in IT/Software, with 5-7+ years hands-on IBM BPM/BAW and 2-3+ years in leadership. You will operate under SLAs and coordinate across business units.

• 8-10+ years overall IT/software engineering experience.
• IBM BPM/BAW: 5-7+ years hands-on on the platform.
• 2-3+ years leading technical teams, running code reviews, driving delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Leadership: Lead and mentor the BAW development team; own end-to-end technical delivery, architecture compliance, and pattern reuse across business units.
• Hands-on Development & Governance: Build solutions to specification, lead design/code reviews, and maintain detailed technical documentation.
• Support & Maintenance: Manage daily operations, incident resolution, maintenance, and platform enhancements under strict SLAs.
• Platform Management: Oversee performance and stability across the IBM BAW/BPM and IBM MQ environments.

Minimum Requirements

• IBM BAW / BPM: Proven hands-on technical lead experience designing, developing, and supporting IBM BAW/BPM solutions.
• IBM MQ: Practical experience managing and integrating IBM MQ services.
• Technical Leadership: Demonstrated ability to run code reviews, guide developers, and enforce architectural standards.
• Operations: Strong background in production support, call management, and SLA compliance.
• Overall IT / Software Engineering: 8-10+ years
• IBM BPM / BAW Experience: 5-7+ years hands-on experience on the platform
