Job summary

Pick n Pay Retailers is looking for a Bakery Supervisor to lead merchandising, uphold quality and hygiene, and ensure smooth daily operations across stores. You will manage stock, execute promotional plans, and mentor staff while maintaining high standards of customer service and product availability.

The role requires transferability between stores and a focus on achieving targets with effective planning and leadership.

Qualifications

Matric/Grade 12 is required.
Bakery qualification preferred.
Minimum 3 years bakery experience.
Experience as bakery supervisor.
Role requires transferability between stores.

Responsibilities

Merchandising management.
Conducts regular quality checks on merchandise.
Executes plano guide 100%.
Handles product as per SOP.
Ensures products are produced according to recipe specifications.
Ensures department is ready for trade by store opening time.
Identifies fast selling lines and implications on margin and sales opportunities.
Ensures product is wrapped and packed according to standards.
Monitors hygiene, housekeeping and safe working standards.
Monitors promotional activities – adherence to calendar.
Back up areas are kept clean and clear.
Follows sell by dates and rotates stock according to policy.
