Job summary

Eden Scott is recruiting on behalf of a well-established food manufacturing business in Lanarkshire for an Engineer to join the maintenance team on a permanent backshift. The role focuses on planned preventative maintenance and reactive engineering activities to support ongoing production.

The successful candidate will have electrical engineering experience in FMCG, be comfortable with automation systems, hold a full UK driving licence, and may have 18th Edition qualifications.

Qualifications

• Electrical engineering experience within a food manufacturing or FMCG environment.
• Experience working with automation systems.
• Full UK driving licence and access to own transport.
• 18th Edition qualification (advantageous).
• Experience reading/interpreting electrical and pneumatic drawings (advantageous).

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned maintenance activities in line with the site's maintenance schedules and systems.
• Respond promptly and effectively to equipment breakdowns to minimise downtime.
• Complete and maintain all maintenance records and documentation accurately.
• Monitor and manage spare parts inventory, ensuring parts are stored safely and correctly.
• Keep production and departmental supervisors informed of breakdowns and maintenance progress.
• Participate in ongoing training and development activities to enhance technical capabilities.
• Adhere to all Health & Safety procedures and promote a proactive safety culture throughout the site.

Due to continued investment and expansion, they are seeking an experienced Engineer to join their maintenance team on a permanent backshift basis.This is an excellent opportunity to work within a fast-paced FMCG environment, supporting production through both planned preventative maintenance and reactive engineering activities.
