Job summary

Rectron is seeking an Intermediate .NET Developer to join the IT team in Midrand. You will develop, maintain, and optimize business-critical applications using C#, .NET, and ASP.NET Core, while designing REST APIs and backend services.

The role requires strong SQL Server skills, Azure experience, and the ability to work across backend services, databases, and cloud-hosted solutions. Collaboration with internal teams is essential.

Qualifications

• 4+ years’ experience in software development.
• Strong C# and .NET / .NET Core development experience.
• Experience with ASP.NET Core MVC and/or Web API.
• Solid SQL Server experience, including queries, joins, indexing, stored procedures, and performance troubleshooting.
• Experience working with Azure services such as App Services, Azure SQL, Blob Storage, Key Vault, Application Insights, or Azure Functions.
• Understanding of REST APIs, JSON, authentication, and integration patterns.
• Familiarity with Git and source control workflows.
• Good debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently while still collaborating well in a team.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance applications using C#, .NET, ASP.NET Core, and related technologies.
• Design and build REST APIs and backend services.
• Write, optimize, and troubleshoot SQL queries, stored procedures, and database structures.
• Work with Microsoft Azure services for application hosting, storage, monitoring, and deployment.
• Assist with system integrations between internal platforms and third-party services.
• Debug, investigate, and resolve application issues.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to development best practices.
• Collaborate with business users, developers, and stakeholders to understand requirements.
• Support deployments, testing, and production issue resolution.
• Maintain technical documentation where required.
