Job Purpose
The purpose of this job is to assist with building, maintaining, and improving business-critical applications. The ideal candidate has strong experience with .NET, SQL Server, and Azure, and is comfortable working across backend services, APIs, databases, and cloud-hosted solutions. To help build and support scalable business applications. The role involves backend development, API integration, database work, cloud deployment, troubleshooting, and collaboration with internal teams.
Primary Objectives
- Develop, maintain, and enhance applications using C#, .NET, ASP.NET Core, and related technologies.
- Design and build REST APIs and backend services.
- Write, optimize, and troubleshoot SQL queries, stored procedures, and database structures.
- Work with Microsoft Azure services for application hosting, storage, monitoring, and deployment.
- Assist with system integrations between internal platforms and third-party services.
- Debug, investigate, and resolve application issues.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to development best practices.
- Collaborate with business users, developers, and stakeholders to understand requirements.
- Support deployments, testing, and production issue resolution.
- Maintain technical documentation where required.
Education/Qualification, Skills and Experience
Education/Qualification
Relevant degree, diploma, or equivalent practical experience in software development.
Required Skills and Experience
- 4+ years’ experience in software development.
- Strong C# and .NET / .NET Core development experience.
- Experience with ASP.NET Core MVC and/or Web API.
- Solid SQL Server experience, including queries, joins, indexing, stored procedures, and performance troubleshooting.
- Experience working with Azure services such as App Services, Azure SQL, Blob Storage, Key Vault, Application Insights, or Azure Functions.
- Understanding of REST APIs, JSON, authentication, and integration patterns.
- Familiarity with Git and source control workflows.
- Good debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently while still collaborating well in a team.
Advantageous
- Microsoft Azure certifications, such as Azure Fundamentals, Azure Developer Associate, Azure Administrator Associate, or Azure Solutions Architect Associate.
- Experience building or integrating LLM-based solutions, AI assistants, chatbots, or automation tools.
- Experience working with Azure AI services, Azure OpenAI, OpenAI APIs, vector databases, embeddings, or retrieval-augmented generation.
- Experience with Entity Framework Core.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions.
- Exposure to frontend technologies such as JavaScript, Razor, or Blazor.
- Experience with background jobs, caching, queues, or event-driven architecture.
- Knowledge of security best practices, identity, OAuth, or role-based access.
- Experience in ecommerce, ERP, CRM, or business systems would be beneficial
